Each year, your Sunday school students will need to be advanced to the next Sunday school grade. Church360° Members refers to this process as promoting students. You can promote students at any time by changing the grade on each person’s profile. However, to make this process more efficient, you can instead set this process to occur automatically each year.
Only users who can modify account setting can schedule the promotion, and the feature is disabled by default. There is no automated process to demote students.
Students will be promoted through Sunday school grades in the order the grades are listed in the Sunday School Grades view, from top to bottom. It’s important that the Sunday school grades are ordered correctly before the automatic promotion occurs, otherwise students will be listed in the wrong grade. If a student is in the last grade listed, then they will be removed from Sunday school and there grade will be listed as "none" in their profile. The automatic promotion occurs at 12:30 a.m. (UTC) on the date you specify.
If you want grades to advance as soon as possible, do not set grades to promote as of today's date. This will cause the promotion to happen the same date next year because the promotion only happens once a year. Instead, schedule the promotion for the following day.
Here is how to schedule a promotion:
- Log into Church360° Members.
- Click the settings icon in the upper right corner.
- Select General Settings.
- In the Sunday School section, check the box to enable automatic promotion.
- Select a date using the drop downs.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page.
