Different relationships between different person records can be designated from the profile of one of the related members. This would also be how to add marriages as well.
To enter in a new relationship link,
1. Find and open the person record for one side of the relationship.
2. Click the plus sign to the right of the Family section heading to start a new relationship entry.
3. If the other half of the relationship already has a person record in the system, use the drop-down menu to find their name. If their record has not been created, type in the person's first and last name and click on the entry proceeded by the string "New Person:".
4. Use the drop-down menu to select the appropriate relationship option.
5. Click the "Add" button to add the new relationship. This relationship will now appear on both records.
If a relationship is incorrect, you can delete the incorrect relationship in a person's record without affecting the relations' information.
To remove a relationship,
1. Hover over the relationship in the Family section and click the minus sign to the right of it.
2. Depending on the nature of the relationship, there may be multiple options. Click the "Delete" button to remove the relationship entirely.
Note: Besides relationships manually added to a person record, you may also see some relationships appear that are based on manual relationship links. These are called "inferred relationships" where one relationship is based off of another existing relationship.
To delete an inferred relationship, you will need to delete the relationship that created the inferred relationship.
