Users can change a person's member or non-member status by entering in a received-by or removed-by entry on the person's timeline on their profile.
To edit a person's membership,
1. From the People's view, click on the individual’s name to open their profile.
2. Click on the plus sign in the Timeline section to add a new entry.
- To make a non-member into a member, click the button to “Receive as Member”.
- To make a member into a non-member, click the button to “Remove from Membership”.
3. A drop-down box will appear; select the reason for the membership reception or removal.
4. Today's date will automatically be added as the date of entry. To change the date, click on the field to open a date selector to choose a different date.
5. If applicable, click on the memo field to add a note relating to their membership change.
6. Click anywhere on the page to automatically save your changes.
- To edit a Timeline entry, click on the entry to reopen it for editing.
- To delete a Timeline entry, hover over the entry and click on the minus sign to delete.
Note: For the integrity of historical data, it is only recommended to delete entries if they are incorrect. If a person was a member for any length of time, please add a removal reason instead of deleting their membership reception entirely.
