Navigating the New Pastoral Visits View

Follow

Under the Pastoral Visits subheading in the People view, users can record upcoming or completed visits and other methods of contacting members of your congregation by the pastor or other church representative.  These visits will appear in the Pastoral Visits calendar under Events, and on the timeline in the individual record of the person or persons being visited.

When adding a visit, users will select a date, the person or people being visited/contacted, the person who is visiting/contacting (does not have to be a pastor), and the type of visit, whether or not communion was provided, and notes, if desired.  The distance traveled for the visit and the time can also be recorded.

The "Type" selection includes all default and custom types that have ever been used.

Users can add notes to the visits either here, or by navigating to the person or household record and then adding information and its visibility.  This view then serves as a record of all the recorded visits.
