Manage Tasks

Follow

Tasks can be added to a project, customized, and checked off as they are finished, until the entire project has been completed.

Add a task

Tasks can be added to your project either directly from the Projects view or in the Project Details view, accessed by clicking on the project name in the block on the Projects view.

  • In either case, adding a task follows the same steps:
    • Click Add Task.
    • Type the name of the task in the box provided and click Enter.  If you wish for tasks to be completed in sequential order, number them as you add them (i.e. "1. Task Name").
    • The task will be added to the list, and a new field will appear so you can add another task as needed.

Task Detail view

Clicking on the name of a task will open the Task detail view.  This view will show you the following information about the task, where applicable:

  • Across the top:

    • Schedule
    • Attachments

  • To edit or delete a comment:
    • Hover your mouse over the posted comment, click the ellipse and select to Edit or Delete.
To add or edit other elements of a task, you'll use the Edit button on the right side of the Task Detail view, below the Created By field.

The Edit view includes three tabs with different options in each.

Details

Most parts of the task can be managed here.  You can:

  • Edit the task name.
  • Assign it to one or more participant(s) of the project.
  • Set a due date.
  • Or add or edit a description for the task.

Schedule

This tab allows you to set a repeating schedule for the task.  Make a selection in the first drop-down to enable two more drop-downs and you can set a schedule such as "Every 5th week on Sunday".
