Under the People view, users can use the Church Register view to add and edit entries to keep track of various registries for their church. Users can choose to use existing person records or type in the person's first and last name in order to create a new person record in the system.
Modes
Similar to the People view, the Church Register view contains four distinct registries, based on the event. Users can change the mode by clicking on the current mode heading and using the drop-down menu to select another mode.
- Baptisms - This registry offers the ability to add a baptism record along with parental and officiant relationships, locations, sponsor names and other notes.
- Adding parents to a registry record will create parental relationships on the person's record.
- Confirmations - This registry offers the ability to add a confirmation record along with parental and officiant relationships, locations, and other notes.
- Adding parents to a registry record will create parental relationships on the person's record.
- Weddings - This registry offers the ability to add a wedding record along with the couple's names, license number, return date, officiant, location, witnesses and other notes.
- Adding a couple to a registry record will create a marital relationship on both of their person records.
- Funerals - This registry offers the ability to add a funeral record along with the deceased's name, death date, burial location, officiant, location, and other notes.
- Adding a death date to a registry record will mark the person as deceased and having a death date on the person's record.
Action button
Like other views, the Church Register view has action buttons for specific tasks. Currently, there is only one available action for the Church Register.
- Download - This action will export all visible entries into a CSV or Excel file that you can edit and share.
Search Bar
Users can use the search bar to filter the list of entries for the selected registry.
Church Registry List
Below the entry row, all available registry entries can be seen for reference. Entries can be clicked to open them for editing. Any field, except for the person for the registry, can be edited. Hovering over an entry produces a faint grey minus sign to the far right of the record can can be clicked to delete an entry permanently.
