Adding and Editing Church Register Entries

Users can add and edit entries into the Church Register not only as a log of important life events happening at the church but also to update new or current person records with event information.

Users can create new person records and add event information pertaining to those records. For example, adding a Baptism registry entry for a person will add that baptism date to their person record.

To add a new registry entry,

1. Click on the gear icon to go to People.

2. Go to the Church Register view.

3. Choose the register you want to view.

4. On the entry row at the top of the list, fill in the fields for person records, date of the event, and additional information as needed. The only required information for register entries is the Date, Individual name, Couple’s name (for Weddings), and death date (for Funerals).

5. Click "Add" to add the event to the Church Register.

To edit an existing registry entry,

1. Click on the gear icon to go to People.

2. Go to the Church Register view.

3. Choose the register you want to view.

4. Click a blank area on the row of the visit you need to edit.

5. Edit the date or addition fields as needed.

  • If you need to change the person records involved, it's recommended to delete the row entirely and recreate the entry.

6. Click "Save" to save your changes to the Church Register.
