When a person or family moves, you'll want to update the address information in their household record to maintain accuracy for your directory and label reports.
If you want to keep the current address but add an additional address, you may instead want to add an away address to their household or individual profile. For more information on adding away addresses, please visit this article.
To add or edit a household's address,
1. Select the profile of the individual or household from the People view.
2. Click the Mailing Address (for individuals) or Permanent Address (for households) section to open it for editing. The section should highlight in a faint blue when you hover over it.
3. Edit the address as you need. If the family would like their address to be private, check the box to unlist it.
4. Click anywhere in the white space on the record to automatically save your changes. If this change was done from an individual's record, a window will appear asking if the address should be updated for the entire household or if a new household with the changes should be created for only this person.
