Introducing Bank Account Integration

Follow

Overview

Church360° Ledger includes a Bank Account Integration feature that allows supported financial institutions to securely send transactions directly into your Ledger workflow. These transactions provide a starting record for creating and posting entries in Ledger.

The integration supports multiple types of financial accounts, including:

  • Bank accounts (checking and savings)
  • Credit card accounts
  • Brokerage and investment accounts

⚠️ Beta Feature: This feature is currently in Beta and may be refined as updates are released.

How It Works

Use the integration in Settings to log into your bank and link your account(s) to the appropriate accounts in your Chart of Accounts.  Once connected, your bank automatically sends new transactions to Church360° as Pending Transactions in the Todo list on the Overview page.

⚠️ Note: A user must be a Ledger Administrator to access and configure this integration.

See: Setting up the Bank Integration for step-by-step instructions.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Verify Chart of Accounts setup
Ensure all necessary bank, credit card, income, and expense accounts exist before connecting.
  • Account for potential duplicate transactions
Duplicate entries may occur if transactions are also created through other processes. Common sources include:

    • Deposits from offerings batches, including Vanco
    • Other integrations (Paycor)
    • Recurring transactions

Determine in advance which transactions should be processed and which should be deleted.
See: Understanding Transaction Entry Options in Church360° Ledger for more information.

  • Verify account mappings during setup
Confirm each external account is mapped to the correct Ledger account.
  • Review Pending Transactions regularly
Regular review helps maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Adjust transaction details as needed
Update transaction types, accounts, or descriptions to ensure accurate reporting.
