In addition to Smart Groups and Custom Fields, users can use the concept of tagging to specify different designations, preferences, or additional information about an individual that other fields do not cover.
Tagging is a quick manual process that can be done while inside of a person's record or in bulk from the People view and can then be used to help filter or report on those with a specific tag.
Action buttons
Like other views, the Tags view has action buttons for specific tasks.
Add Tag - This option allows a user to enter in a tag name, select a color for the tag, and click "Add Tag" to add the entry to the list of Tags in the system.
Download - This option will export all Tags, and the number of people who currently have the tag to either a CSV or Excel file that users can edit and share.
Print - This option allows users to print a list of Tags directly from your browser.
Tag List
All Tags and their details are listed in the view.
- Name - Displays the name of the Tag.
- Color - Displays the color the Tag shows on the People view or Individual profile.
- People - The number of person records that currently have the Tag on their person record. Clicking the number link will take users to the People view listing those with the Tag.
Actions for Tags
- Edit Tag - Clicking a tag's row will open it for editing.
- Delete Tag - Clicking the grey minus button to the far right of the Tag (and then clicking "Delete") will remove it from the list and any person records that had that Tag added to them.
