If you find you need to update a Smart Group or create a new Smart Group based on an existing group, users can edit and resave their criteria as needed from both the Smart Group view and the People view.
To edit a Smart Group from the Smart Group view,
1. Click on the gear icon to open your Settings view.
2. On the navigation menu on the left, select “Smart Groups” under the People section.
3. Click on the pencil icon to the right of the Smart Group to enable editing.
4. Add or edit the name, traits, or description of the Smart Group as needed and click "Save" to save your changes.
To edit a Smart Group from the People view,
1. Click on the gear icon to go to People.
2. Go to the any of the first four People views.
3. Use the first drop-down menu to the right to select the Smart Group you want to edit. Smart Groups are marked with a lightbulb icon in the list.
4. Expand the Smart Groups drawer by clicking the icon with three lines between the Smart Group and Column drop-down lists.
4. In the dark area that shows, edit traits as needed.
5. Click "Save Group" to save your changes. If the Smart Group has previously been saved, a prompt window will appear.
6. To save changes to the existing group, choose the first option. To create a new Smart Group, choose the second option and add a name for the new group. Click "Save" to save your selection.
